Chapter XIII

“The Remainned”

Pulling into our driveway I notice that my car is nowhere to be found, and wonder where Sam is, but am also concerned that my sister is not here either. We were gone for a bit but not that long, they should have been back home by now. The sound of racing tires envelops the street as I see my car coming down the road at a high rate of speed, then my brakes are hit hard as she turns quickly into our driveway.

“Seriously, Adrienne where were you and where is Sam?” I ask.

“He is fine, and I went by Ariel’s house, she showed me some stuff she has been working on so I had to go to see, why?” Adrienne responded.

“Because I would have figured you would have been home what if we needed you?” I ask.

“All you had to do is call me on my cell phone, it’s not like I would never have it on me, don’t you think?” Adrienne responds.

“A lot happened, Cassandra is dead and Vincent is very powerful, so we are going to need to get everyone together next weekend and start planning and start training, not only do we have to worry about his being that is roaming around and messing with us, but we also have General Collins and Vincent to worry about and it’s about time we end all of this,” I say.

“Sounds like a plan, I will get with Ariel, Dean, and David and let them know where are we meeting up,” Adrienne says.

“I will send you the pin on your phone for the location, I think you are going to like it, at least Amorette would have and I hope everyone does too,” Christian says.

“Well, we are going to have to do something about Monday because you know this is going to be all over the news, and with John’s disappearance and Cassandra’s death things are going to be spread around and you know how our school is,” I say.

“We all know well enough Heather and Michelle are going to be the first to cause us issues, then there is going to be Vincent who I hope doesn’t come to school anymore, and with him being my lab partner, this is going to be tough if things get way out of hand,” I say.

“Everything is going to work out, I will see you all tomorrow,” Christian says walking into the woods towards his house.

“Adrienne, keys, and please let’s try and keep things under wraps, you know how the girls at school are and I know that Heather is going to try and accuse me of all of this, so please, for me let’s try and act normal,” I say.

“Normal? You think that we are normal or any of this is normal Lys?” Adrienne responds.

“I know what this looks like but I just want for you to promise me that you will not cause any issues at school, at least don’t start anything with anyone,” I say.
